Dehydration – Is it Making You Sick?

Dehydration, HSince our body is mainly made up of water,
doesn’t it make sense that we need to make sure we have enough in our body?

Not being properly hydrated may be doing more damage than you realize!
(And it may even be contributing to your weight.)

So grab a glass of water and head over to check this out.

The Land of Our Dreams

The last few weeks have been crazy busy around here, but I’m taking a little bit of time each day to move forward with the plans of our Homestead. I’m laying out land requirements to look for when purchasing, timelines on what to add and when, usage dreams for the homestead (like offering programs and activities for foster kids, single-head families, etc. – more on that in a later post), and what we want on the homestead for animals and buildings.

Land

As each day flies by, I’m getting more and more excited!
I see the dreams taking shape!
I see it becoming more of a reality!

Today, I want to talk a little bit about the land requirements that we are looking for.
(These are in no particular order.)

1. We want our land to be within reasonable driving distance (1 – 2 hours) of the Twin Cities and Eau Claire area. This give a greater number of people the opportunity to benefit from what we will offer at The Homestead.

2. We want land that has some sort of a water source on it. We’d really like a little creek flowing through it, and a small pond would be fabulous.

3. We would like the land to have a good balance of cleared and wooded areas.

4. We would prefer if the land was off the main roads by a mile or two. We don’t want to listen to interstate traffic.

As the research in land continues, I’m sure the list of requirements will be adjusted some.

Do you have any other suggestions when looking for land? We’d love to hear it!
